Journeys Matter
For babies born with a laryngeal cleft, it’s often a journey to get diagnosed and receive effective treatment. It’s common for babies to remain undiagnosed - or misdiagnosed - for months and years since these clefts are hidden and relatively unknown by most people. Even after diagnosis, it’s often difficult to treat this birth defect.
By sharing journeys, families and providers can learn more about how to quickly diagnose and effectively treat laryngeal clefts. Sharing journeys also provides hope to families across the globe.
We honor each cleft hero, their family, and the medical providers who helped along the way.
